Raising Praise leads the music ministry at 9:30 AM Sunday Liturgies approximately once a month, as well as during special occasions such as Christmas and Holy Week.  The choral season is roughly Labor Day-Memorial Day.

This groups is directed and accompanied by Joan Backes, a music minister at Ascension.

This group does a blend of folk and traditional choral SATB music and undertakes various musical genres.  We currently use piano, guitar, bass, organ and occasional oboe and auxiliary percussion.

Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:00 PM in the church.  This group does not rehearse every week.

Open to adults and teens.  All vocal parts are welcome.  Ability to read music is not required but is helpful.
